NEON- ITS BACK AND ITS BETTER

Updated: Apr 19, 2020

The era of the 80's neon style has snuck is way back into fashion statements of 2019, and it has never been so big

PINK, YELLOW, ORANGE AND GREEN

This crazy colour couture has landed within all of our social media timelines and in some of our wardrobes too. People aren't necessarily pulling back out their neon legwarmers but fashion icons and individuals have definitely decided to bring back this courageous style statement.

"YOU SHOULD REPRESENT YOURSELF IN WAYS OTHERS CANNOT"

So, lets get down to the nitty gritty. When it comes to wearing neon, the main prospect is to own it, walk out and strike the eyes of others. The bold, contagious vibrancy evokes a sense of confidence. Neon was first embraced in the 1980's, and later came back for a hot sec with bright coloured hairbands, socks and legwarmers. Obsessions with these colours soon faded out until now. 2019 brought neon back, after the array of celebrity endorsements took its toll on social media. Kim Kardashian wore a neon yellow two piece and people went crazy, online stores starting stocking up on the similar outfit and this was selling out faster than a fat kid eating cake. Once more and more individuals with a large social media presence began to cover their bodies in neon materials, it became the 80's all over again, just with a little more sauce this time.
